Feb. 28
Dave Adkisson, President and CEO of the Kentucky Chamber, details to the Senate Education Committee several issues surrounding the alignment between high school and college identified by the report of the Chamber's Postsecondary Education Task Force.

Bryan Sunderland, director of public affairs for the Kentucky Chamber, testifies about the impact of proposed health insurance legislation before the House Banking and Insurance Committee.

Feb. 14
Adkisson speaks at Gov. Steve Beshear’s news conference on expanded gaming. Adkisson spoke on behalf of several local chambers in Kentucky, which also favor expanded gaming.
 
Jan. 17 
Adkisson testifies before Senate Education Committee regarding Senate Bill 2. The bill will encourage students to take rigorous math and science classes, provide grants to pay for the cost of Advance Placement (AP) examinations, professional development for teachers and a new energy technology engineering career track for students.
 
Jan. 16
Mike Ridenour, vice president of public affairs for the Kentucky Chamber testified before the House Special Subcommittee on Expanded Gaming, saying that expanded gaming is a reasonable and appropriate policy measure to recoup the hundreds of millions of tax dollars being lost annually to casino gaming in neighboring states. Ridenour testified that such a move would also help ensure the economic competitiveness of Kentucky's signature equine industry and provide additional revenue for high-yield public investments like education.
