Join Us in Preparing the Next Generation of Elected Officials for Public Office and Advancing Our Free Enterprise System
The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Fellowship for Civic Leadership is designed to train business leaders, aspiring public officials, and civic-minded individuals who are passionate about free enterprise to run effective campaigns and make a meaningful impact in their communities. Participants gain hands-on experience in campaign building, fundraising, and voter engagement while also developing their leadership skills and network.
The program will be May 28-29, 2026, with additional optional virtual sessions throughout the summer of 2026.
Who Should Apply
- Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders: Individuals with a strong interest in how free enterprise and business principles can support civic leadership and community development.
- Emerging and Aspiring Public Leaders: Individuals considering running for local, county, or state office.
- Civic-Minded Individuals: Those who are passionate about public service, community involvement, and civic leadership.
Goals of the Fellowship
- Explore Public Office: Help participants understand public service and decide if running for office is right for them.
- Provide Campaign Training: Offer tactical training on campaign strategy, voter engagement, media use, and campaign finance to help future candidates run effective campaigns.
- Develop Leadership Skills: Foster leadership abilities by discussing motivations for public service, organizing a campaign, and engaging voters.
- Build a Network: Create a community of fellows who can support each other and learn from experienced elected officials and political experts.
Overall, the fellowship aims to prepare future civic leaders who are motivated to serve their communities, whether through running for office or supporting others who do.

Attendance at the two-day training on May 28-29, 2026, is required. The cost to participate is $150, and payment is due on the first day of the program.
