Gergen to keynote Kentucky Chamber event

  • Last week, the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce announced that its Eighth Business Summit and Annual Meeting, presented by Bingham Greenbaum Doll, will host CNN senior political analyst and former presidential advisor, David Gergen.

Gergen is currently a professor of public service and director of the Center for Public Leadership at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.  Gergen’s political career has spanned four decades and he has served as a presidential advisor during the administrations of Nixon, Ford, Reagan, and Clinton. Gergen wrote about his experience in his New York Times best-seller, Eyewitness to Power: The Essence of Leadership, Nixon to Clinton. As a senior political analyst for CNN, Gergan frequently appears on Anderson Cooper 360 and The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.

Now in its eighth year, the Business Summit and Annual Meeting, scheduled for July 22 and 23 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, provides an opportunity for business leaders throughout the Commonwealth to discuss issues related to the local, national and international economies. The Kentucky Chamber’s signature event has brought to the stage journalists and political analysts such as Tucker Carlson, Donna Brazile, George Will, the late Tim Russert, Ted Koppel and Bob Woodward. Additional speakers for the two-day Business Summit, a progressive, think tank event, will be announced in the weeks to come. Visit for more details or to register.
