Kentucky Chamber to Hold State and Federal Tax Reform Summit

LEXINGTON, Ky. – On Monday, June 25, the Kentucky Chamber will hold its annual State and Federal Tax Reform Summit. The summit will feature U.S. Congressman Andy Barr, Kentucky’s legislative leaders, and tax policy experts from the state and federal levels.

Tax reform has been a popular topic after Congress passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in late 2017 and the Kentucky General Assembly passed a tax reform package in the 2018 legislative session. Providing the opening keynote, Congressman Andy Barr will focus on the pro-growth results federal tax reform has had on Kentuckians.

Kentucky legislative leaders, including Senate Majority Leader Damon Thayer, Acting House Speaker David Osborne, and Senate Appropriations and Revenue Chair Chris McDaniel, will discuss the tax reforms that were passed in the 2018 session and what is expected next in 2019 and beyond.

Attendees will interact and learn more about how tax reform is shaping business, changes to corporate tax code, impacts to start ups, growth and service-oriented businesses, improving Kentucky’s competitiveness, and what is next for state and federal tax reform.

The Kentucky Chamber’s 2018 State and Federal Tax Reform Summit is on June 25,2018 at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort and Spa in Lexington. Click here to view the full agenda.
