The Kentucky Chamber Next Generation Leadership Council will bring together rising business leaders from across the Commonwealth who are interested in shaping the future of Kentucky’s business community.


Who the Council Is For

The Council is designed for professionals who:

  • Are under the age of 40
  • Work for a Kentucky Chamber member organization
  • Demonstrate leadership within their organization and/or community
  • Have an interest in Kentucky’s growth and engaging in statewide business issues
  • Want to advance the Kentucky Chamber’s mission and work

Members are selected to reflect a broad mix of regions and industries across Kentucky, ensuring a statewide perspective.

Why Serve

Serving on the Next Generation Leadership Council offers an opportunity to:

  • Connect with a statewide network of emerging leaders
  • Work on the key issues impacting Kentucky’s economy
  • Contribute to the Chamber’s efforts to advance Kentucky
  • Grow as a leader while supporting the Commonwealth’s future

What Council Members Do

Council members will serve two-year terms and participate in four meetings per year, which will be held in-person or virtually. The Council will be led by a Chair and Vice Chair and will be overseen by Kentucky Chamber staff.

Council members will:

  • Engage in discussions on business and economic trends affecting Kentucky
  • Provide feedback and perspective that helps inform the Chamber’s work
  • Participate in projects aligned with the Chamber’s strategic priorities
  • Engage in Chamber events and activities throughout the year
