(GLI), is excited to announce the upcoming New Kentuckian Hiring Academy Workshop, a one-day educational experience designed specifically for employers who want to strengthen their hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies for work-authorized immigrants, refugees, and documented workers.
This one-day program will provide participating employers with:
- A deeper understanding of the demographics, challenges, and opportunities of Kentucky’s immigrant and refugee workforce
- Insight into legal hiring and compliance, visa types, and documentation
- Strategies for reducing barriers to employment and maximizing transferable skills
- Tools for improving language access, cultural awareness, and retention
- Connections to local community-based organizations and workforce partners
