The Kentucky Chamber Workforce Center and JAG Kentucky (Jobs for America's Graduates) launched "Bus2Business Day" on October 2, 2019!

On October 2, 2019, we launched Kentucky's first Bus2Business program! This statewide initiative will focuses on connecting Kentucky students with employers. The day is aimed to provide a chance for students to tour businesses, complete hands-on work-based learning activities, and speak directly with business leaders about career pathways available in their organization. On October 2, 2019 - our first ever Bus2Business day - we had 30 schools visit 32 businesses in 24 counties statewide for a total of over 1,200 students impacted. View photos from the 2019 statewide visits here!

Watch the Bus2Business Pilot Video

Watch the Bus2Business Pilot Video Featuring Murakami Manufacturing and Taylor County Schools!

In April 2019, our team went to Campbellsville with the Taylor County School System and Murakami Manufacturing, USA. Kentucky Chamber Workforce Center Board member and CEO & Chairman of Murakami, Michael Rodenberg, is really showing the community how it's done when businesses step up for students. Watch our video spotlight on our pilot Bus2Business day to see why it is so important to get students from your local communities into the workplace. Taylor County's JAG Kentucky students are featured as they learn more about the manufacturing industry while visiting Murakami.
