    Kentucky Veterans Employment, Training, and Support Services Manager • Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs (KyVETS)

    Monica Acob is the Kentucky Veterans Employment, Training, and Support Services Manager for the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, also known as (KyVETS). Monica has been with KDVA for 14 years serving as a Regional Manager for Eastern and Central Kentucky, assisting Veterans with Benefits and Compensation claims through the US Department of Veterans Affairs. In December 2020, KDVA Commissioner Keith L. Jackson appointed Monica to oversee the KyVets program and assist our Kentucky Veterans in their career search and bring awareness to Kentucky Employers of the advantages of hiring veterans and military spouses. Although not a veteran herself, she is a spouse of a retired combat veteran and knows the daunting challenges and hardships; finding substantial employment. Monica’s goal as the KyVets Manager is to bring employers and veterans together through the SkillBridge program internships and apprenticeship opportunities.

    Executive Director • Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM)

    Katie Adams is the executive director of the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management, a professional association for HR professionals that provides leadership and guidance to local chapter affiliates as well as at-large SHRM members. She also serves as the HR Director for the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Katie has a B.S. in Workforce Leadership and an A.A. in Paralegal Studies from the University of Louisville and completed an internship with the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights. Katie has 12 years of progressive experience within the field of human resources including employee benefits, payroll, legal compliance, HR systems and technology, full cycle recruitment, policy development, employee relations, performance management, leadership development and onboarding. Prior employers include Assured Partners, Mortenson Dental Partners, Integrity HR, Inc. and M&P Collections, Inc. Katie resides in Shelby County with her husband Jeremy (Partner at Studio Kremer Architects) and four children Max, Elliott, Emma and Abigail.

    Kadeidra Bowie has been with Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities Energy LLC since September 2020. Prior to LG&E and KU, Kadeidra was a staffing specialist for the U.S. Army’s Civilian Human Resources Agency in Fort Riley, Kansas. Kadeidra is now Recruitment Coordinator at LG&E and KU and the Military and Veteran Engagement Specialist focused on recruiting and sourcing diverse military talent. Kadeidra earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration, both from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.

    Tiffany Cardwell, a Principal Consultant with MCM’s HR Solutions Group, has more than twenty years of experience in domestic and international Human Resources. She has expertise in mergers & acquisitions, compensation, diversity/equity/inclusion/belonging, employee engagement, talent management, total rewards and workforce planning. Tiffany has worked for several top employers including Trans Union in Chicago, Humana, Papa John’s Pizza and Signature HealthCare. Tiffany has been with MCM CPAs & Advisors LLP for over five years. MCM is an audit, assurance, finance, tax and advisory services organization with a strong reputation within our industry, as well as within the communities we serve. We were ranked by Inside Public Accounting's Top 100 list as the 78th largest accounting firm in the United States (based on net revenue). Tiffany has also previously served as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant).  
  • Dr. Dallas F. Kratzer II

    Grant Manager, Cybersecurity and Veteran Workforce Initiatives • Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs (KCMA)

    Dr. Kratzer is the Cybersecurity Grant and Veteran Workforce Initiatives Manager for the Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs (KCMA).  He manages the DoD Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation funded grant which is designed to increase cybersecurity opportunities for veterans in Kentucky.  Working in partnership with the University of Louisville, the grant is creating a cybersecurity educational pathway focused on helping transitioning servicemembers, veterans, and their spouses to gain the skills necessary for employment in the cybersecurity and IT fields.  Additionally, he works with state and local agencies to foster strategic partners designed to advocate for veteran and military spouse employment opportunities in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  Dr. Kratzer retired from the Kentucky Air National Guard in 2015, after over 35 years of service in the Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard. He deployed in 2012 to Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, with the Army National Guard Agri-Business Development Team, working with Afghan farmers. He received his B.S. in Management/Human Resources from Park University, an M.Phil. in Military Strategy from the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS) at Air University, an M.A. in Christian Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Kratzer earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development from the University of Louisville.

    Talent Pipeline Project Manager – Northeast Region • Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Workforce Center

    Zach Morgan joined the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Workforce Center in 2020 as the Talent Pipeline Project Manager for the Northeast region. He was previously involved in workforce matters at the Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs, in the Governor’s office. At KCMA he helped streamline employment processes for service members, military spouses, and veterans – through consultation with government agencies, non-profits, and legislators. Zach was an Army reservist and military spouse for eight years during the Global War on Terrorism. He also has a background in public relations and public history.  
  • Jamie Peck

    Contract Administrator, • LG&E and KU Energy, LLC

    Jamie Peck recently retired from the Army after 20 years of service and moved his family to Louisville, Kentucky. Utilizing the DOD Skill Bridge Program, he acted on the opportunity for an internship with Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities Energy, LLC. Upon successful completion of the internship, he was hired and started in August of 2020. He is currently working as a Contract Administrator for LG&E at the Riverport location for fleet contracts. Jamie serves as the President of the Armed Forces Energy Partners (AFEP), a Business Readiness Group (BRG) consisting of over 100 veterans within LG&E. The purpose of this group is to keep veterans connected as well as recruit, retain, and recognize veterans in the company. Jamie lives with his spouse, three children, and their Great Dane “Grizzly” in the Louisville area.
